The AStA cannot provide counselling in matters of immigration law, visas, residence permits, etc.
One point of contact for students at Fulda University of Applied Sciences could be the International Office.
The district of Fulda is responsible for residents in Fulda. The district's homepage also lists a number of institutions that may be able to provide helpful advice.
In cooperation with the DGB Youth Hesse-Thuringia, the AStA offers initial employment and social law advice for students at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
We provide free advice on:
- rights at work and during an internship (vacation, breaks, working hours, work reference, working student contracts)
- social security (health insurance, pension insurance, etc.)
- job combinations
- and many other concerns
Currently, counseling is only offered online.
Please contact us for an appointment by email at campusoffice.hsfulda@dgb.eu.

Alongside many opportunities and possibilities, university studies can also bring with it a great deal of stress. When the demands of university studies are compounded by other challenges in everyday life, life can quickly fall apart at the seams.
In the event of difficulties during university studies and personal crises, it often helps to talk to someone from outside to help you organise your thoughts and feelings and gain more clarity. We support you in discovering your own abilities and strengths, mobilising them and developing coping strategies - if necessary also with other advisory centres inside and outside the university.
We offer independent, confidential and free of charge advisory services and help
In principle, you can contact the PSB with any topic that affects your ability to study. We will then clarify together whether an advisory service is sufficient for you or whether we can support you in your search for further help.
If you have an urgent counselling request, please use the telephone consultation hours to arrange an appointment
Katja Ecker : 0661 9640-1438, Thursdays from 9.00 to 10.00 am
Robin Richter: 0661 9640-1436, Mondays from 01.00 to 02.00 pm
What am I allowed to do, what am I not allowed to do? Hardly anyone has a detailed overview of their rights.
And getting your rights in cases of trouble is often very expensive.
For this reason, the AStA offers all students from Fulda University of Applied Sciences a free initial legal and tenancy law consultation to get an overview of the situation and to collect information on how to proceed.
Until further notice, advice is only available by telephone.
Write us - from your university email address - an email to verwaltung@asta.hs-fulda.org.
Briefly name the case and give your phone number at which our lawyers can call you back.
You are also welcome to send relevant documents/photos as attachments.
The lawyers will contact you promptly.
The AStA cannot cover any costs outside of this initial consultation.
If you would like representation in court or the drafting of documents, ask the law firms directly what this would cost or whether an application for court aid would make sense.
If you have any problems with your landlord or questions about tenancy law, you can also get advice from the tenant protection association.
