Alongside many opportunities and possibilities, university studies can also bring with it a great deal of stress. When the demands of university studies are compounded by other challenges in everyday life, life can quickly fall apart at the seams.
In the event of difficulties during university studies and personal crises, it often helps to talk to someone from outside to help you organise your thoughts and feelings and gain more clarity. We support you in discovering your own abilities and strengths, mobilising them and developing coping strategies - if necessary also with other advisory centres inside and outside the university.
We offer independent, confidential and free of charge advisory services and help
In principle, you can contact the PSB with any topic that affects your ability to study. We will then clarify together whether an advisory service is sufficient for you or whether we can support you in your search for further help.
If you have an urgent counselling request, please use the telephone consultation hours to arrange an appointment

What am I allowed to do, what am I not allowed to do? Hardly anyone has a detailed overview of their rights.
And getting your rights in cases of trouble is often very expensive.
For this reason, the AStA offers all students at Fulda University of Applied Sciences a free initial telephone consultation with a lawyer.
To take advantage of this service, please send us an email from your university email address to verwaltung@asta.hs-fulda.org, briefly describing the case and providing your telephone number so that the solicitor can call you back. Please also send all relevant documents/photos as attachments.
The solicitors will contact you as soon as possible.
The AStA cannot cover any costs beyond this initial consultation.
If you would like representation in court or the drafting of documents, ask the law firms directly what this would cost or whether an application for court aid would make sense.
If you ever have problems with your landlord or questions about tenancy law, you can also seek advice from the "Mieterbund" (Tenants' Protection Association), but only after you have signed up for a paid membership (a one-time €12 registration fee and an annual membership fee of €52).
